NOT ONE RED CENT: IAC ACTION ALERT

IAC ACTION ALERT……………NOT ONE CENT should come out of services to pay for Managed Care Infrastructure!

For quite some time we have been asking the question:

“How will the Managed Care infrastructure (including DISCO’s) be financed?”

To date, even though it appears that managed care is imminent, the answers have not been satisfactory.  We are left to conclude that expenses such as IT infrastructure, building expenses, salaries and other expenses involved in maintaining the managed care system itself, will be paid for with money that is currently being allocated for services to people with I/DD and their families!

IAC, in partnership with other associations across the State, is mobilizing our members, the people you serve, their families and the staff who provide services in your programs, to deliver a simple message to Governor Cuomo and your State representatives:

*      NOT ONE CENT currently being spent on services for people should be spent on anything other than that!

*       If any savings are realized through efficiencies in service delivery under managed care, NOT ONE CENT of that money should be spent on anything other than services for people!

We cannot allow any loss of money for services to New Yorkers with I/DD or their families.  Click http://capwiz.com/iacny/home/ to send letters to your Assembly member, Senator and Governor letting them know that we won’t stand for it!

Call or email with any questions.
